Course
A spectacular 0.8 mile, eight-corner course on good pavement in San Francisco's Historic Presidio. Approximately 50 feet of climbing per lap. Neutral technical support courtesy of Tony Tom, Tim Brennan and A Bicycle Odyssey.
Directions
From Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza, continue south on Highway 101 1.5 miles to first exit right at bottom of bridge ramp. Continue on Gorgas Ave to Halleck St. then turn left and proceed to Lincoln Blvd. Turn right  and follow signs to parking. From I-80 or Highway 101 South, follow signs in downtown San Francisco to Highway 101 North/Van Ness Avenue. Follow Highway 101 left off Van Ness onto Lombard Street. At Broderick Ave, bear left and continue on Lombard through Lombard gate into The Presidio. Turn right onto Lincoln Blvd and follow signs to parking.
Kids' Events
Five events for ages 4-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. Fun, short races (most less than 1 mile) and everyone receives a ribbon. Helmets are mandatory and parent must sign a release. Optional Bike Safety Rodeo begins at 11:00 AM.
Entry
Pre-register by mail by sending signed 2003 USA Cycling Standard Entry and a check payable to "California Road Club" to David Covington, 35 Casa Way Apt. 103, San Francisco, CA 94123. An additional $5.00 fee will be charged for each entry postmarked after September 13 and for race-day entries. Pre-register online with Active.com, until September 17. No refunds. Current USCF license must be presented at registration. One-day USCF license may be purchase for $5.00 at race day registration. Entry fee includes USA Cycling insurance surcharge. Enter a second race for $10. Race-day registration opens ninety minutes before scheduled start of first race and closes 15 minutes prior to scheduled start of each race. Prizes will be merchandise and, in the case of the Women 1/2/Pro and Senior 1/2/Pro races, a minimum of $500 and $1500 cash, respectively..
